Not content to simply offer what has been previously available from other sources, TGS has converted these wells from their raw stock into several industry-standard processed formats to ease import into geoscience applications and reduce resource allocation toward data management and preparation tasks.
The Well Data Experts
TGS has built a global collection of more than five million well logs from key exploration plays in more than two dozen countries worldwide. Whenever possible, our collection is sourced from the original hardcopy or truck data, and undergoes a rigorous series of quality control checks before ever reaching the end user. All of our data captures the complete log run, as opposed to the segmented pieces found elsewhere.
Well data from TGS is available for delivery in the following formats:
- Paper hardcopy
- Raster image file (.TIF)
- Depth-calibrated smartRASTER images (.SIF)
- Digital LAS curves
- Processed, merged and standardized digital LAS+ curves
Online Access
TGS’ entire well database can be searched and accessed online using LOG-LINE Plus!. This web browser-based tool lets users seek well data by specific UWI number, build queries using a range of criteria or browse regionally using a map. Data can be ordered instantly and immediately downloaded in most cases.
