Digital data collected by satellite and other airborne, electronic imaging systems provide geological, weather and ice information for survey planning. They also aid in the process of understanding environmental and operational safety hazards to minimize HSE risks.
TGS integrates satellite-derived gravity, topography and bathymetry data with other geophysical and geological data. This provides structural information and guidance for studying structural trends, faults and fracture zones, basin geometry and evaluating the overall petroleum system. Satellite-derived gravity grids are low-resolution data sets which cannot replace marine or airborne surveys.
