    Delayed Image Time Scan (DIT)

RTM Delayed-Imaging Time Scans (DIT scans)
DIT scans perform a delay of the source wave field before applying the imaging condition to simulate a change in velocity. The delayed-time scan picking is a horizon-constrained process and both the horizon generation and picking steps are automated. DIT scans provide a robust method for updating sub-salt velocities in low S/N area and are also a useful tool for the refinement of salt interpretations.
