GPHIGS_GUI is a toolkit containing a collection of widgets that can be accessed in different ways.
It may be used in several ways :
- Integrated in a MOTIF program (widget creation)
- transparently
creating display widget and accessing the GPHIGS-GUI popup-menu that contains all functions
- selectively
creating only those widgets which are required
- Without programing via GPHIGS
- relinking the application with GPHIGS-GUI and by activating the GPHIGS-GUI popup-menu
- Using a specific function in any program (call C or Fortran to a pxgui_xxx function)
In order to define the terminology, a reminder is given below of some of the basic elements of the PHIGS and MOTIF operating mode.
