5.2.2. GPHIGS TYPE FORMAT

This function requires GPHIGS output drivers. The quality of the output produced is better than a dump and only represents the workstation's contents (there are no border to the window )

To carry out this operation, an inquiry of the workstation (e.g. workstation 1) reveals the list of structures linked to it (posted), then a free workstation is found (between 1 and 15, in this example workstation 2), which will be opened with the GPHIGS-type corresponding to the desired output, finally, a redrawing (redraw all structures) is carried out, then the temporary workstation is closed to free this workstation number.

This is possible due to GPHIGS multi workstation implementation.

The choice of possible output types is :

- CGM

- PostScript

- Raster RLE

- HPGL ( all formats A4,B4,.... )

- Raster EPSON

- Raster HP PaintJet

- Tektronix (7bits, 8 bits)

The CGM option displays a new menu for specifying the directory and file name.

The PostScript option is used to adjust the definition (default of 72 pts/ inch), the position on the worksheet (translation with reference to the coordinate origin of the worksheet for reframing if required) and the output dimensions (cf %ps option in the GPHIGS configuration file). This option displays the following menu :

Certains drivers may not be linked. If this is the case, go to the OPGS installation directory: OPGS / config installation directory and type conf.
