A knowledge of the basic PHIGS concepts is useful for understanding PHIGURE. Names of GPHIGS functions all start with the letter P and in this chapter they are all written in bold type. As this chapter only deals with concepts, it does not include any description of the parameters. The GPHIGS F77 functions manual gives the full FORTRAN F77 binding for these functions.
