GPHIGS creates one raster file per display. The file name is the connection identifier parameter passed to OPEN WORKSTATION. If more than one redraw is made in the same session, GPHIGS creates new files with the following syntax: name.number. Where name is the connection identifier and number is an integer representing the number of redraw realized in the current session.
