EGAS Licensing Round 2026
Egypt's Mediterranean remains one of the world's most compelling exploration destinations, with opportunities across proven gas provinces and emerging frontier plays. TGS helps bidders evaluate, mature and de-risk prospects with industry-leading seismic data and insights.
EGAS Licensing Round 2026
Egypt remains a cornerstone of hydrocarbon exploration in the Mediterranean. Recent successes have shown the region to be one of the world's most exciting hotspots. With increased interest from major operators and highly competitive licensing rounds underway, TGS provides the solutions needed to meet your exploration ambitions.
The 2026 EGAS Licensing Round in the Egyptian Mediterranean invites international and local energy companies to explore designated onshore and offshore blocks. Opportunities span the proven gas province in the Nile Delta, emerging plays around the south and west of the deepwater Zohr area and promising underexplored plays in the Herodotus.
TGS seismic data supports prospective bidders in making confident decisions, maturing prospects, and de-risking investments in the EGAS bid round. Full guidelines, including deadlines & fiscal terms will be available via EGAS’ website and via EUG's website.

TGS Data Coverage
We provide the industry's leading multi-client library, and our coverage of the blocks available for the EGAS round is no exception. Extensive 2D and 3D seismic data acquired in partnership with EGAS within the scope of the MC West Mediterranean Project cover every available block in the EGAS 2026 Licensing Round. This includes 34,800 km2 of cutting-edge GeoStreamer and PSDM Vision and 24,000 km of 2D seismic data.
We recently began the EGY-2DDRE2026 PSDM project. This will reprocess the offshore GeoStreamer 2D data through advanced velocity model building workflow, including E-DMFWI, KPSDM, and an RTM workflow to enhance imaging of pre-, intra- and post-Messinian intervals.
