Using precise timing to encode and separate multiple sound sources, Apparition increases source capacity (currently, up to 8 sources) and acquisition efficiency without compromising data quality.

Combined with Gemini EFS, Apparition delivers efficiency gains of up to 30%, cleaner signal recovery and enhanced visibility of deep and complex subsurface targets. How it Works

Gemini Enhanced Frequency Source is a single-element, large-chamber marine seismic source designed to generate stronger low-frequency energy than conventional airgun arrays while preserving the frequencies needed for standard imaging workflows.
By using a large air chamber with separated fore and aft ports, Gemini shifts more source energy into the low-frequency band. This improves the signal used for full waveform inversion and velocity model building, while still supporting broadband reflection imaging.

Unlike conventional multi-element airgun arrays, Gemini behaves as a point source. This creates a more stable and consistent source signature across angles and azimuths, simplifying designature, zero phasing, wavelet handling, and FWI forward modeling. The result is a broadband source solution that supports long-offset acquisition, improves low-frequency signal-to-noise, reduces uncertainty in model building, and lowers unnecessary ultra-high-frequency acoustic output.
