OSLO, Norway (19 February 2026) – TGS, a leading provider of energy data and intelligence for the offshore wind industry, today announced the signing of a brokerage agreement with a major global renewables developer.
Through this agreement, TGS will make the developer’s advanced offshore wind measurement datasets from a northern European country available to the broader market, giving third-party stakeholders immediate access to unique, high-value wind resource insights. The two-year high-resolution datasets, captured using industry-standard LiDAR and met-mast technologies, provide critical inputs that help de-risk early-stage yield assessments and support more accurate turbine design specifications.
“Sharing data remains a well-known industry challenge. By making high-quality wind measurements like these accessible to the wider market, we help customers reduce uncertainty while enabling developers to recoup previous investments,” said Will Ashby, EVP Business Development at TGS.
This agreement further strengthens TGS’ expanding role in the offshore wind data value chain and highlights the company’s ambition to drive innovation across the sector. The dataset is available for licensing immediately, with TGS providing comprehensive delivery, documentation, and technical support to interested parties through our Wind Measurement Data Ecosystem (MDE). As offshore wind continues its global growth, TGS remains focused on delivering trusted data solutions that help industry participants shorten timelines, reduce development risk and advance the clean-energy transition.
