Houston, TX (10 June, 2009) - The Geological Products and Services division of TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company (TGS) and the State of Ohio, Department of Natural Resources, Division of Geological Survey have entered into an agreement to make a complete set of well logs from the state available online.

Under the terms of the agreement, TGS will scan, quality control, and catalog the data on behalf of the state. The complete collection of Ohio well logs will be available commercially from LOG-LINE Plus!®, TGS' online collection of more that 5.6 million well logs worldwide.

The project will include an estimated 230,000 logs and will take place over 10-12 months, with data being added to LOG-LINE Plus!® from the project on a weekly basis. The agreement with Ohio follows the recent announcement that TGS is partnering with operators in the eastern United States to add their private collections to LOG-LINE Plus!® and is part of the company's strategy to expand commercial access to data in the region.
