TGS recently acquired 2,817 km of 2D seismic to infill and expand existing TGS Cenderawasih CE07 and CE08 2D seismic surveys. The recently acquired survey ties all key wells and provides modern seismic data to evaluate basin and hydrocarbon prospectivity in the Biak and East Waipogah basins.

TGS has completed a 2D multi-client seismic survey in offshore Eastern Indonesia immediately north of the Sunrise-Troubadour gas fields and to the west of the Abadi gas field. The 1,500 km survey, MH11, infills a seismic survey previously acquired in 2007 and an extensive multibeam data set in the area.
TGS has completed acquisition of 1,500 km of new multi-client 2D seismic data offshore Misool. The data infills the space between two TGS multi-clients projects; Misool and Salawati.

TGS has completed an extensive multi-phase reprocessing program of 2D seismic data located in the Makassar Strait, Indonesia. The first phase consists of 2,700 km of seismic data in the Northern Mahakam Delta.
This data infills the SJR09 and SJR10 data sets. Acquisition is complete.
The Tarakan Basin 3D seismic project is located offshore East Kalimantan, Indonesia in the Celebes Sea. The project was acquired in three phases and covers an area of approximately 3,456 km2.
Indonesia’s Directorate General of Oil and Gas (MIGAS) launched the Second Indonesia Petroleum Bidding Round on 23 September 2011.
Vietnam has launched its 2011 licensing round which will cover nine blocks. This is the first offering in four years and will last from 1 August to 5 January 2012. Blocks offered are in the Nam Con son, Phu Quoc and Malay-Thochu basins.
TGS acquires quality seismic data from prospective basins around the world. Highlights are being presented on our website as Line of the Month. Please click here for the current Line of the Month.
The IndoDeep Project is a comprehensive exploration program creating new data sets in previously unexplored or under-explored Indonesian basins. It is the largest non-exclusive, multi-component project ever undertaken in the world.
In addition to 2D seismic, the IndoDeep project includes 400,000 km2 of multibeam data, 110,000 km of gravity and magnetics, 1,200 sedimentary cores, 3,600 geochemical analyses and 100 heat probes, all over frontier basins in offshore Indonesia.
In June 2003, after 25 years of negotiation, Vietnam and Indonesia signed an agreement over their maritime boundary in this potentially oil-rich area of the South China Sea.
TGS-NOPEC has over 20,000km of modern 2D data seismic in the Makassar Straits which borders the Mahakam Delta, one of Indonesia's most prolific hydrocarbon producing areas.
TGS-NOPEC has over 26,000km of modern 2D data seismic in the Makassar Straits which borders the Mahakam Delta, one of Indonesia's most prolific hydrocarbon producing areas. The data, which extends across the Straits from Kalimantan to the West Sulawesi Fold Belt, have enabled a more coherent interpretation to be constructed, revealing a number of new exploration opportunities.
The offshore Sakhalin area in the Sea of Okhotsk is a world-class hydrocarbon province, with proven reserves to date in excess of 5.5 billion barrels of oil and 35 trillion cu.feet of gas. Total reserves (in place) in the area are estimated to be in excess of 90 billion barrels of oil equivalents.
TGS has 8,640 km of newly acquired long offset seismic and gravity data in the South Java forearc. For the first time, the new data images a thick package of sediment as shown below. It has similar characteristics to Mesozoic and Paleozoic NW Shelf Australian sediments.
