Houston, TX (31 August, 2009) The Geological Products division of TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company (TGS) is pleased to announce the addition of well logs from Italy to its commercial database. The approximately 2,500 Italian wells are available in industry standard LAS format through LOG-LINE Plus!®
"Geologists come to us for well log data for two primary reasons: data quality and ease of access," commented John Adamick, Senior VP Geologic Products. "Even from countries where the data is in the public domain, such as Italy, our customers have found tremendous benefit in choosing to license digital, quality controlled curves from TGS."
TGS' global well database includes over 5.6 Million logs and other borehole data from key hydrocarbon provinces worldwide. The data is available online via LOG-LINE Plus!®, a data repository with search, order and download capabilities.
