TGS has a strong history of supporting exploration in the Asia Pacific and is proud to offer the most extensive portfolio of high quality integrated regional products and data sets in the area to assist with licensing rounds and work programs. We have set the standard for geoscientific data that includes seismic, regional interpretative products, magnetic and gravity data, digital well logs, check-shot surveys, directional surveys and CPI logs to help aid a complete picture of the subsurface for energy making decisions.


TGS has been active in Australia since 1998 building up an extensive database which consists of 2D, 2Dcubed and 3D seismic data, gravity and magnetics data and Facies Map Browsers in the Carnarvon, Roebuck, Browse, Bonaparte and Otway Basins.

Sabah MC3D was acquired in three phases by WesternGeco and PGSTGS, in partnership with WesternGeco and PGS, are currently reprocessing 5,825 km² of the ND4 MC3D data to better image into the Dangerous Grounds, which is a rifted continental block formed in the Eocene/Oligocene with the opening of the South China Sea. Data will be processed by PGS Malaysia through Pre-Stack Time and Depth Migration and these products are expected to be available in Q4 2018. This data will offer valuable insights for companies wanting to look into the acreage and assess farm-in opportunities
